Nov. 4th, 2008 10:05 pmWent out electioneering against Prop 8 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., which pretty much exhausted me -- I am awed by some of my colleagues who were out there from 6:45 a.m. on and still walking and talking. Stationed in Berkeley, I encountered only a couple of Yes on 8 voters. Then home, cleaning up a few No on 8 signs along the way and stopping to listen to McCain's concession speech.
sophieflapsndr had brought home curry, bless her heart, hot enough to bring tears to my eyes -- it wasn't just Obama's victory speech.
Proposition 8 looks to be winning (with22%25% of the vote in), but it could still turn around; I'll go to bed in hope, and if we lose this one, we'll come back with our own amendment. What one majority does another can undo, under the cockamamie California constitution. Those bigoted sons of bitches had stupidity and fear on their side, but we've got time on ours.
